Positive people are like sunflowers

Positive people are like sunflowers.
And positive people need care too.

Saying; “I am okay”, has become a norm today, it almost feels like a failing of character to say otherwise. This pretense is innate conditioning, and we all adopt this mask.

Although I am a huge advocator of living positively, drawing on all the good around you, and practicing gratitude. I totally recognize this false positive and see the dangers in it.

Adopting a false positive is denying your feelings, your existence. We are emotional, and we need to validate our feelings and that of others. It’s very natural to not always feel good. And even though our world may seem quite perfect, it may not always be the reality. The one thing is to practice kindness to ourselves and others. By being kind, we empathize, listen more intently and this is the best gift to a loved one.

In my conversations I have observed one common thing in “positive people”, it is the winner mentality, the survivor instinct. The other thing that pops up many times, is that they are in some way caretakers of people around them. They are forever caring, healing, comforting others. In the bargain, they get used to it that I do not think they realize that they are running low on love and kindness fuel.

If they don’t express themselves it can be emotionally draining, and here an outlet is necessary. Be human, be humane. Sunflowers too need the sun, and they turn towards the light.

If this resonates with you, welcome to the leader, survivor, and winner group. That by default will turn to the sun exactly like the sunflowers.
